The Daily Progress | UVa, cybersecurity company researching possibility of ‘car hacking’
The Daily Progress covers Mission Secure and the University of Virginia's research on car hacking and cyber threats to vehicles. Working with the Virginia State Police, Mission Secure looks to identify potential hacking vulnerabilities and cyber risks in today's modern automobiles and ways to mitigate those threats.
As everyday actions, like driving, become more connected and smart, digital threats become as real as physical threats. In the case of vehicles, the driver of a hacked car system could potentially loose control with very real threats to safety, security, and human lives.
